Plaque of Recognition from the Philippine-Japan Manning Consultative Council, Inc.

 
 

Southwestern College of Maritime, Business & Technology proudly received a Plaque of Recognition from the Philippine-Japan Manning Consultative Council, Inc. for its impressive performance in the Maritime Schools Assessment Program (MSAP) 2024, where it ranked 5th in Deck Examinations among 44 participating Maritime Higher Education Institutions offering B.S. Marine Transportation programs.

On behalf of the school, C/E Erdie P. Taganguin, Dean of College of Maritime Education and Capt. Rey Mark D. Opeña, Program Chair of Bachelor of Science in Maritime Transportation accepted the award, a true testament to the school’s dedication to excellence in maritime education.

This achievement not only reflects the hard work of the faculty and students but also contributes to the development of future Filipino merchant marine officers and engineers.

The award ceremony took place on September 27, 2024, at the IMMAJ-PJMCC Training Center, ISU-AMOSUP Mariners' Home, located at 1765 Vasquez corner Nakpil Streets, Malate, Manila. It was officially signed by Ericson M. Marquez, MSAP Committee Chairman, and Capt. Emmanuel L. Regio, President.
