𝐒𝐂𝐌𝐁𝐓 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫

With the aim to increase awareness of the country’s vast maritime domains and its potential among Filipinos, the Philippine Ports Authority-PMO Mindoro hold community focused activities in celebration of the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo) last September.

In line with this, twenty-six students from Southwestern College of Maritime, Business, and Technology Senior High School Department led by Sir Jonny Magluyan participated in the Port Educational Tour at Port of Calapan last September 25.

The tour was an initiative that offers an immersive and informative experience designed to educate participants about the vital role of ports in the nation’s economy, culture, and environment.

During the tour, students learned about various regulations, safety measures, and the personal protective equipment necessary for working within the port. This experience enhanced their understanding of maritime operations and cultivated a deeper appreciation for the Philippines' rich maritime heritage.
